Overload

We tried to go register for baby stuff but we didn't have a plan and we hadn't done much research before hand. What a nightmare. So much shit. And so many different kinds of the same shit. Convertible car seat / infant car seat / travel system / umbrella stroller. Straight bottles / angled bottles / baggie bottles. Hundreds of different nipples and binkies. We actually left one store without even scanning one thing.

So, we sat down and talked about how we planned doing things to maybe help narrow it down. That seemed to help and I guess we'll have to go back soon and sift through all that junk to figure out what we want / need.

There's just so much crap to do and think about. I guess we'll figure it out. It's been done a bajillion times before.

Just my $0.02: Dr. Brown's bottles are the best. Gavin never had a bad problem with gas in his tummy with those. He would never take a pacifier and yours might not either so don't get a lot of those until you know. Plus, the boob nazis recommend not using a pacifier for the first couple of months so they don't get confused.

As far as carseats go, we got a pumpkin seat-style for when he was really little (easy to transport)and then when he hit 20 pounds, we got a convertible that will take him up to 80 pounds when you change it to a booster. Not that I will be strapping my 80 pounder into a booster seat. If he weighs that much, I think he can hold his own.

Pumpkin seat-style? Is that like those ones that have a base that stays in the car and you can carry the kid around in the car seat or put the seat on a stroller? I think we may try one of those. That seems convenient.

Yep, that's a pumpkin seat. Very handy when the moving the sleeping wee one from one place to another. And it will help build your biceps too.
