Apparently its so embarrassing to lose to the Blues that it will cost you your job.
Olczyk, a former player and coach with the Pittsburgh, had enjoyed the unconditional support of both player/owner Mario Lemieux and Craig Patrick, the team's GM. But a run of eight losses in the last nine games, punctuated by Tuesday's dismal 3-0 loss to the woeful St. Louis Blues, proved too much for the front office to bear.

But The Blues are in a worst class all to themselves. Its not even close between last and second to last place.

and now Tkachuk is out 4-6 weeks
Blues won again!!! And they didn't even have to use the off duty cop as goalie! whoo-hooo!! Go NHL Blues!
